Here are some general guidelines for the size of h2o instance -

-Spin up an H2Ocluster at least 4-5 times the size of your dataset on disk.

-Create fat nodes( i.e more memory each node) instead of more nodes with less memory each node.

-When using H2O xgboost, set an extramempercent of 120 . If not using h2o-xgboost, leave it to default.
